**Public Visiting Instructions**

• Members of the public can now register with GTL and make appointments on-line to visit inmates at the San Luis Obispo County Jail.

• Inmates may have two one-hour visits per week, Sunday through Saturday. These visits must be scheduled no more than seven days in advance and no earlier than two days in advance.

• Visitors must bring valid government-issued photo identification and arrive at least forty-five minutes prior to the hour they are scheduled to visit. No visitor check-ins will be allowed after thirty minutes before the visiting hour.  See the Sheriff’s Office website for more information.

• The public can also make appointments for video visitation with the lengths and costs being twenty minutes for $15.00 and forty minutes for $30.00.

• Video visitation is available for all inmates at the San Luis Obispo County Jail.

Professional Registration & Scheduling Process

• Once you have registered, send an email to slosheriff-gtl@co.slo.ca.us to have your profile updated to Professional. Include a copy of your bar card or business card. Please allow 3 business days for this to take effect.

• Face to face and video visits can be scheduled on the same day and up to 7 days in advance.

• For video visits scheduled for the same day, contact the Jail at (805) 781-4572 to ensure they know about your scheduled visit.

• To schedule a contact visit call (805) 781-4611. These visits should be scheduled up to seven days in advance to ensure availability of the contact visiting room.
